Winter Hiking at the Pichlerhof Farm in Meransen

Retrace the freshly-groomed trails and explore the snowy terrain around the Pichlerhof farm. Enjoy stunning winter views of the valley on the Meransen hiking circuit, circling the Gitsch mountain along a 7-km course. At an elevation of 2,512 m, the view from the Gitschberg Mountain offers a breath-taking panorama of more than 500 summits!

 

Longer hikes lead from Vals to the romantic Fane Alm pasture with its quaint Alpine huts and on to the Rodenecker Alm. Families with small children enjoy winter hiking on cleared snowdrifts, to get closer to nature. Meanwhile, more experienced snowshoe hikers explore the trails on their treks through the solitary forests.
